As someone who lends your mind and heart to working with adolescents, you walk a tightrope between order and lightness—inspiring and drawing students in, while providing them guidance and structure.
You’re a role model, instilling core values like dignity and respect, as well as a teacher, making curriculum come alive. And when the buzzer rings and the next group take their seats, you’re on-the-fly adapting to a whole new set of personalities, needs, circumstances, and chemistry.
But you’re not in this alone. As a community, it’s all our jobs to empower students to make healthy choices and better balance the powerful influence of adolescence on a teen’s social, emotional, and educational experiences.

Spring 2020 Launch: ANGST Film-based Mental Health Program
Let's join together to help families lower stress and learn how to support each other. Adolescent anxiety is at an all-time high, with COVID-19 turning life upside down and isolating teens at a critical developmental age. The Practice of Life is partnering with ANGST to provide a crisis response to support the mental health of students and families during this time of uncertainty.
Delivered in collaboration with school leadership, we have created a community-custom dashboard where the ANGST film, district messaging, and support materials in a portal that includes:
