Hey there,

Apparently it's 'reflection season’ 🙄

You’ve seen this…endless posts about 'crushing goals' and 'best life' plans.

Meanwhile, you’re balancing holiday-chaos and year-end deadlines, right?

Here’s what I’m learning:

There's something (quietly) powerful about this ‘in-between’ time.

Not to transform ourselves into productivity machines…but because the world slows down a bit.

Less emails. Canceled meetings. Even my teenager is sleeping in (though that might be more about winter break than wisdom😆).

And with a little space, I find myself thinking about how I spend my energy.

Not in a YouTube-productivity-hack kind of way, but in a truth-telling way.

Why? Because every ‘yes’, every hour you and I give away—it adds up to the life we’re actually living.

So I’m thinking less about massive life overhauls or dramatic resolutions…

And more about questions that carry more weight than they first appear:

➡️ What drained my energy this year?

➡️ Which moments made me feel alive?

➡️ Where did I say yes when I meant no?

(That last one stops me in my tracks every time.)

Asking these questions isn’t self-indulgent…it’s necessary.

Maybe even radical in a world of constant motion.

Today, I encourage you to answer these questions, too. Even for 5 minutes.

(Better yet, bring them up with someone you trust and trade answers.)

Because here's the truth—your time and energy tell the story of your life.

Every moment you claim for reflection is an act of quiet rebellion.

The question is: are you telling the story you mean to tell?

🔑Resource you might (really) love

When you’re young…you can’t wait to grow up.
When you’re grown up…you’d do anything to be your 18-year-old self for a day.

My Old Ass addresses that tension in a cute, funny (and touching) way.

😏Quote for when Uncle Joe asks about your "life plans" at dinner
"I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you're not in this world to live up to mine." (courtesy of Bruce Lee)

Taking it slow,
